If you are looking for gourmet ryokans in Hiroshima, I really think you should stay here. We were very touched with each dish prepared much detail and care for dinner and breakfast.  Absolutory this is top-notch.  Perhaps, if you are looking for ryokans with private hot springs, I would highly recommend it.  Each room has a private one.  The spring quality wouldn’t be special, but it would be hard to find properties with private hot springs in Hiroshima.  Then there are 4 rooms only.  The ryokan completely emphasizes private experiences for each guest.  We never met other guests during our stay.  On the other hand, if you are not so keen on hot springs and Japanese cuisine, you might want to find others.  The ryokan would be great for couples, families with small children, small groups, or solo travelers.  When we entered the building, staff welcomed us very warmly and we didn’t feel like we were checking in a ryokan, it’s like you’re being welcomed back home.  Also, we were truly impressed with their family’s hospitality.  If you want to experience signature Japanese hospitality, you should stay here.  It couldn’t be better.  If you are going to stay here, you should request a room with a view of the ocean and Miyajima Island.  You can chill out here while seeing amazing views.  The room is very popular.  You should make a reservation quickly if you want to stay in the room.  Facilities tend to be the latest.  The housekeeping was good.  The room tends to be not user-friendly, but very cozy.  The wifi reception was excellent.  All of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, a Japanese tea set, a coffee machine, pajamas, and yukatas.  Room service is not available.  There is no convenience store within walking distance.  You may want to buy your necessities before coming here.  Also, this is child-friendly.  Staff can provide amenities, baby baths, trash cans for diapers, and meals, etc. if you request in advance.  Then the property is not a universal design.  If you bring people with weak feet, you may want to inform staff in advance as they can arrange a room near the entrance.  Actually, once you enter a room, you wouldn’t need to move around as there is a private hot spring.  Wheelchairs are not available for borrowing.  Then staff can provide the latest mattresses called “airweave” which is a very popular brand in Japan at the present.  Many famous athletes over the world use the product.  I’m sure you can get sweet sleep during your stay.  Then Kyo-kaiseki’s food for dinner and breakfast was just divine.  The food is amazingly sophisticated.  All ingredients are high-end, exquisite, and testy.  It was good without any comparison.  The portion tends to be average.  All meals are served in a private room.  Then inform staff when you book a room with meals if you have any food allergies.  They probably wouldn’t be able to prepare alternative food if you request on that day.  Then if you prefer to go out for dinner, you may want to ask staff about recommended restaurants.  They are very informative.  If you get a taxi, there are some local restaurants. There wouldn’t be nice restaurants around the property.  Overall, the property has great value for money if you are a foodie.  This wouldn’t be a luxury ryokan.  It is rated a 3-star property, but it’s well worth staying in.  We definitely return again.  Then access to the property would be easy.  Free shuttle service is available from Ono-ura Station.  You need to book it in advance.  At last, if you visit Miyajima Island the next day, you might want to ask the owner in advance to send you to Miyajimaguchi to get a ferry.  A staff would kindly bring you there.   You should visit the island if you stay in Hiroshima.  Have a nice trip!  Welcome to receive any questions about the property from the below space.  *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.   Check Availability and Pricing for the hotel on Agoda
