Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou

This is my cup of tea.  If you are looking for a luxury authentic ryokan adventure, I think you should stay at Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou.  This is like a hideaway for adults.  There are 18 rooms only.  The property completely emphasizes private experiences for each guest.  Everything, such as hospitality, service, hot springs, decorations, interior and food, etc., is sophisticated.  Perhaps, if you love wine, I would highly recommend this property.  There is complimentary various wine at a cozy library lounge.  On top of that, you can join a complimentary winery tour and try a lot of different kinds of wine at the winery.  That’s a great experience.  The winery tour starts from 11:00 or 15:30.  You need to inform the staff by one day before if you want to join the tour.  Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou would be great for couples, family, solo travelers, or small groups.  The ambiance is serene, tranquil, and cozy.  If you are going to stay here, I would highly recommend booking a room with a balcony and an outdoor private hot spring facing a traditional garden.  The room is incomparable.  You can see an amazing authentic Japanese garden and colored carps swim so beautifully and elegantly.  That’s precious time.  We felt the luxury and authenticity at once.  Then the property is located near Mt.Fuji, but there is no room with views of Mt.Fuji in-house.  If you want to enjoy Mr.Fuji views while chilling at a room, this is not.  Then if you bring small children, you can book rooms except for a western room with an outdoor private hot spring in the main building and villa-type rooms with outdoor hot springs in the annex.  This is child-friendly.  Staff can provide samue outfits, meals, and futons for small children if you request in advance.  Then, if you don’t want to sleep on Japanese-style mattresses in tatami rooms, you should book a room with twin beds on tatami mats.  Then facilities tend to be the latest.  The Free Wi-Fi reception was excellent except for the library lounge and the dining area in the annex.  Then all of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, a green tea set, yukatas, samue outfits, sweets, and a coffee machine with capsules.  There are skincare products in the bathroom.  Room service is not available.  There is no vending machine in-house.  There is no convenience store nearby.  You may want to buy your necessities before coming here.  Complimentary wine, coffee, and English tea are available at the library lounge in the main building on 2F.  Then Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou is not a universal design.  There are some steps.  If you bring people with weak feet, you may want to inform the staff in advance as they can arrange a room near the entrance.  Then there are wonderful large outdoor and indoor communal hot springs with saunas.  The water temperature tends to be lukewarm.  The spring quality is perfect, creamy, thick, and moist.  *If you have tattoos, you may not be permitted to use the communal bathing area.  You may want to book a room with a private one.   All of them are open from 5:30-11:00, 14:00-24:00.  Then kaiseki food experience was just divine.  If you love Japanese food, you should try it.  They have a nice wine list to complement the meals.  After dinner, some sushi pockets for a night snack were served in our room.  If you stay at villa-type rooms in annex or rooms with outdoor private hot springs in the main building, basically all meals are served at a dining room in the annex.  If you stay at others, all meals are served at a dining area in the main building or annex.  *Please note that inform the staff when you book a room with meals if you have any food allergies.  They probably wouldn’t be able to prepare alternative food if you request on that day.  Then, as far as I know, there is no nice restaurant around here.  You may want to book a room with meals unless you have a car.  Then all staff is excellent.  If you expect signature Japanese hospitality with a personal touch, you should stay here.  Overall, the property has great value for money.  If relaxation is your main purpose, Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou would be a perfect place.  There are many return guests all year round.  If you stay on the weekend, you may want to book a room as soon as possible.  Then access to the property would be easy from Enzan Station.  A free shuttle service is available from the station.  You need to book it in advance.  It takes 90min by train from Shinjuku Station to Enzan Station.  At last, if you love wine, you may want to visit here by public transportation.  You can drink without hesitation until check-out time!  Have a nice trip! Welcome to receive any questions about the property from the below space.  *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.  **Check-in and out times 2:00 PM / 11:00 AM, if you stay at villa-type rooms in the annex or Japanese western-style rooms in the main building, check-out time is until noon.  If you check-in after 19:00, you need to contact the staff in advance.  Check Availability and Pricing for Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou on Booking.com or Agoda
