What kind of hotel is Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi?
This is one of the best luxury boutique hotels near Tokyo Station. There are 57 rooms only. We seldom met other guests during our stay. The hotel is like a hideaway for adults. Compared to other luxury 5-star hotels, it would be rather plain. If you are looking for glamour and specialness, this may not be the place for you. However, I think it’s a place that will surely meet the expectations of guests who are looking for substantial comfort in their stay.
You can see a dynamic flow of people and traffic below you from your room. Also, through the window, you can watch the Shinkansen running smoothly and incessantly. It’s not as glamorous as a luxury 5-star hotel with a glittering night view, but it is a rare experience to be able to feel the dynamism of a big city from a very special space.
Then all staff is sophisticated, informative, and attentive. You can experience signature Japanese hospitality. When we checked in, we were treated to a cup of yuzu and ginger tea.
Then, if this is your first visit to Tokyo, you may want to stay here. The location is very convenient, just a 5min walk from the Yaesu South Exit of Tokyo Station. The hotel is located in Pacific Century Place Marunouchi. The reception is on 1F.
Also, “Meet Service” is available for free. If you bring small children, wheelchair users, or you have a lot of luggage, etc., the service is useful. You can request staff to meet at Tokyo Station’s platforms and they directly escort you to the hotel. Tokyo Station is very large and many people are coming and going all day. If you need some help, send an e-mail in advance.
Then the hotel has no swimming pool, no club lounge, no library, etc. There is a small gym, hot springs, saunas, and a spa treatment shop only. If you need a variety of amenities, this is not for you.
The hotel would be great for business persons, solo travelers, couples, families with children, or small groups.
Where is the best accommodation for anniversaries?
If you are looking for a good place for a special occasion in Tokyo, the property would be one of the best. The staff arranges flowers and cakes to celebrate an anniversary at additional charges if you request in advance.

Rooms I would recommend?
If you are going to stay here, I would recommend a corner room. You can see amazing train views from the room. You must be excited even if you are not a train geek. That’s really interesting, romantic, and beautiful. This is a special sight of another dimension that you wouldn’t expect in Tokyo. It’s like you’re in another world, especially night views. If you bring small boys, I’m sure that they must be so crazy about watching the views.
How about toiletries & in-room amenities?
All of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, pajamas, bathrobes, a Japanese tea set, a coffee machine with capsules, tea bags, and water bottles, etc. There were L’Occitane bath amenities in our bathroom. Room service is available for 24H. There are some convenience stores nearby. Then Blu-ray & DVD players, a 3D TV with 3D glasses, a BOSE WAVE sound system, Bluetooth, and a humidifier were placed in our room. The free WiFi reception was good on the property.
Is this child-friendly?
This is one of the best child-friendly hotels in Japan. Staff provides many items for children, such as amenities, pajamas, bathrobes, toys, cots, and meals, etc. if you request in advance. *One child (ages 11 and under) per adult will be free of charge for co-sleep.

How about In-house Facilities?
Overall, facilities tend to be a bit outdated as the hotel opened in 2002. The housekeeping was excellent, though.
Then there is a nice spa treatment shop, small communal artificial hot springs with saunas, and a gym on 7F. The spa area is open between 6:30 and 21:00. You can rent sportswear, shoes, and T-shirts, etc.
The minimum age required to use the small communal hot springs with saunas is 14 years old, the gym is 16.
Also, bicycles are available for rent. If the weather is fine, you should go cycling around the imperial palace.
Then if you have a spa treatment service, you need to make an appointment by e-mail in advance. It’s open between 10:00 and 21:00. *A minimum age requirement of 18 applies
Then the hotel including all the restaurants, bar, and lobby, etc., are universal design. Wheelchairs are available for borrowing. If you bring someone with weak legs, you may want to inform the staff in advance as they arrange a room near the lift.

How about meals?
You can choose from a western buffet or Japanese cuisine for breakfast at the restaurant on 7F. The buffet is not extensive, but each dish is of a high standard. Then after dinner, don’t forget to visit the bar. The ambiance would be great.
Overall, the hotel may lack luxury ambiance if compared to other Four Seasons brands, but once you enter the small lobby, you must feel so relaxed. Their hospitality would be one of the best in Four Seasons brands. Have a nice trip!
