Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi

This is like a hideaway for adults.  If you are looking for small luxury hotels near Tokyo Station, I would highly recommend Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi.  There are 57 rooms only.  We seldom met other guests during our stay.  Perhaps, if this is your first visit to Tokyo, you should stay here. The location is very convenient, just a 5min walk from the Yaesu South Exit of Tokyo Station.  Also, “Meet Service” is available for free.  If you bring small children, wheelchair users, or you have a lot of luggage, etc., this service is useful.  You can request staff to meet at Tokyo Station’s platforms and they directly escort guests to the hotel.  Tokyo Station is very large and many people are coming and going all day.  If you need some help, you should send an e-mail in advance.  Then this is one of the best child-friendly in Japan.  Staff provides many items for children, such as amenities, pajamas, bathrobes, toys, cots, and meals, etc.  *One child (ages 11 and under) per adult will be free of charge for co-sleep.  On the other hand, if you expect wonderful Tokyo city views from properties, this wouldn’t be.  You would rather recommend staying at Marunouchi Hotel or Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo near Tokyo Station.  Also, there is no club floor, no club lounge, and no swimming pool, etc., to relax while drinking and eating, but there is a nice spa shop, small communal artificial hot springs with saunas, and a gym on 7F.  The spa area is open between 6:30 and 22:00.  Also, there are spa services.  You need to make an appointment for spa treatment by e-mail in advance if you want to have it.  It’s open from 10:00-20:00.  Then you can rent sportswear, shoes, and T-shirts, etc.  Also, bicycles are available for rent.  If the weather is fine, you should go cycling around the imperial palace.  The hotel would be great for business persons, solo travelers, couples, family, or small groups.  If you are going to stay here, I would highly recommend booking a corner room.  You can see amazing train views from the room.  You must be excited even if you are not a train geek.  That’s interesting, romantic, and beautiful.  A different special dimension that you wouldn’t think was Tokyo.  It’s like you’re in another world, especially night views.  If you bring small boys, I’m sure that they must be so crazy about watching the views.  Other rooms wouldn’t have special views.  Then the room tends to be cozy, functional, and relaxed, but overall, facilities tend to be a bit outdated as the hotel opened in 2002.  The housekeeping was excellent, though.  If you want to get much of an immersive “luxury stylish 5-star hotel” experience in Tokyo, this is not.  Then Blu-ray & DVD players, a 3D TV with 3D glasses, a BOSE WAVE sound system, a Bluetooth, and a humidifier were placed in our room.  The free WiFi reception was good in the property.  All of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, pajamas, bathrobes, a Japanese tea set, a coffee machine with capsules, tea bags, and water bottles, etc.  There were L’Occitane bath amenities in our bathroom.  Room service is available for 24H.  There are some convenience stores nearby.  Then the hotel including all the restaurants, bar, and lobby, etc., are universal design.  Wheelchairs are available for borrowing.  If you bring people with weak feet, you may want to inform the staff in advance as they can arrange a room near the lift.  Then you can choose a western buffet at the restaurant on 7F, Japanese cuisine or room service for breakfast.  The breakfast buffet is not extensive, but each dish would be high end.   If you stay for two or more nights, you may get tired of food.  You should go out for meals.  After dinner, don’t forget to visit the bar.  The ambiance would be great.  Then the staff tends to be sophisticated, informative, and attentive.  You can experience a signature Japanese hospitality.  Excellent staff in every position at the hotel make you feel extremely welcome.  If this is your first visit to Tokyo, you should ask the staff about the recommended spots.  Overall, this property may lack luxury ambiance if compared to other Four Seasons brands, but once you enter the property, absolutely you must feel so relaxed.  Their hospitality would be one of the best in Four Seasons brands.  Have a nice trip!  Welcome to receive any questions about Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi from the below space.  *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.  **It would be very hard to find the parking lot.  You may want to ask the staff in advance where it’s exactly located.  ***Check-in and out times 15:00/12:00  Check Availability and Pricing for the hotel on Booking.com or Agoda
