What kind of hotel is Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo?
This is a luxury unique hotel near Shinjuku Station. The hotel is like an art gallery. Once you enter the hotel, you must be excited to explore around here. When we arrived here, the staff greeted us warmly and when we checked in at the lobby, jasmine tea was served.
Overall, this is a great place to stay as a solo traveler or couple because it is a very relaxing place. For a change of pace, I would recommend staying here on weekends. Alternatively, if you plan to stay in Tokyo for a long time, it would be a good choice.
On the other hand, if you are looking for a nice hotel with an amazing Tokyo city view, this is not for you. Actually, there is no special view from the property. Also, if you need a variety of amenities, this is not for you. There is no swimming pool, no jacuzzi, no spa shop, etc. There is a small gym only on-site.

Then the staff is very warm and friendly, which makes me feel very comfortable. They are multinational, and most of them spoke English. When I was here, I almost forgot I was in Japan.
Then the hotel is pet-friendly and popular among guests with pets. There are no restrictions on the type, size, or weight of pets. I saw a few people with dogs here and there during my stay. The dogs were very well behaved. The terrace area of the restaurant in the hotel is crowded with people with their pets on weekends.

Is the location easy to access?
Yes, the location is a 10min walk from Shinjuku Station. It’s not close to the station, so not very convenient unless you take a taxi. If you don’t have a lot of time to spare during your stay in Tokyo, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
It takes 15min by train from Tokyo Station. It takes around 50min by train from Haneda Airport. If this is your first time visiting Tokyo, I would recommend taking an airport limousine bus from Haneda Airport. It takes 40min.
Then if you take a taxi, you should show the below Japanese address. The hotel is brand new. Most of the taxi drivers may not know it.
*Please note that there is a possibility of traffic jams during rush hours. You should avoid using a car during weekday rush hours in Tokyo.
