What kind of hotel is The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo?
This is one of the best 5-star hotels in JAPAN. If you are looking for a luxury 5-star hotel with spectacular city views in the Roppongi area, I would recommend it. Stepping into the hotel, you will feel the world of the Ritz-Carlton with its elegant aromas, marble floors, light wood walls, and dignified carpets.
Then in the lounge, jazz music was playing, adding to the Christmas atmosphere when we visited in Dec. Looking at the large Christmas tree, I felt enriched.
If you want to get much of an immersive The Ritz-Carlton experience, it’s well worth a visit. It would not be easy to describe the charm of The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo.
On the other hand, if you want to enjoy taking a walk in a traditional garden during your hotel stay, this is not for you. Unfortunately, there is no Japanese garden where you can feel the four seasons. Also, if you are in Japan and want to stay in a modern Japanese-style luxury hotel, this is not for you.
The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo would be great for couples, family, solo travelers, or business persons.
Is the location easy to access?
Yes, it is directly connected to Exit 8 of Toei Oedo Line Roppongi Station underground.
Please note that there is no lift in the station. There are escalators only.
If you are using a wheelchair or stroller from Roppongi Station on Hibiya Line, please take Exit 4a and go to the hotel from the ground level.
Also, the location is a 5min walking from Exit 3 of Nogizaka station.
The hotel is located in Midtown Tower and the reception is on 45F.
If you take a taxi from Tokyo Station, it takes 20min and costs around JPY2,200.
*Please note that in Tokyo, there is a possibility of traffic jams during rush hours. You may want to avoid using a car during weekday rush hours.
Then the parking lot is available at JPY6,000 per day.
Where is the best accommodation for anniversaries?
If you are looking for a good place for a special occasion in Tokyo, the hotel would be one of the best. The staff arranges flowers and cakes to celebrate an anniversary at additional charges if you request in advance.

Rooms I would recommend?
If you are going to stay here, I would recommend a corner room with a Tokyo Tower view. From the large windows, you can fully enjoy the wonderful and dynamic views of Tokyo City that changes with the weather and time of day. I never got tired of just looking out the window.
TOP5 Luxury Hotels with Great Views in Tokyo
Then if you are a gourmet, I would recommend a room of club level or a suite. You can access the club lounge and relax while drinking and eating. The food presentation in the Club Lounge is of very high quality. Also, if you spend a lot of time in the hotel, you may want to have access to the club lounge.
On the other hand, I wouldn’t recommend a room with an Mt. Fuji view. Even if the weather is good, you can only see a small part of it. You may feel disappointed when you can see it. Also, I wouldn’t recommend rooms that are facing a cemetery. The night view wouldn’t be special.
How about the club lounge on 53F?
The club lounge is divided into four concepts: reception, garden terrace, dining room, and library. The furnishings, color schemes, decorations, and carpets have been different to match each ambiance, creating a comfortable ambiance as if you were walking through your own residence. Also, the Tokyo city views are surprisingly amazing in good weather.
The food presentation including beverages at the club lounge was truly wonderful. Also, there is live harp music during afternoon tea on weekends.
It’s open between 7:00 and 22:00.
Light Meal *Lunch 11:30-13:30
Afternoon Tea 14:30-16:30
Hors d’oeuvre 17:00-19:30
Nightcap 20:00-22:00 *a minimum age requirement of 12 applies.
Then you can choose from the club lounge, the restaurant on 45F, or room service for breakfast. I would recommend the restaurant called TOWERS on 45F. The restaurant is very popular among the locals and it wouldn’t be easy to book a table all year round. There is a variety of delicately seasoned dishes. It’s open between 6:30 and 11:00.
Then complimentary Chinese chicken stew, berry cake, egg croissant sandwiches, ham sandwiches, and caprese, etc. are available during lunch. Also, you can enjoy lunch even after checking out at the Club Lounge.
Then complimentary warm fondant chocolate, shine muscat tart, green tea mousse, fromage blanc mousse, pear gelée, sandwich, plain scone, clotted cream, macaroon, coffee, tea, fresh juice, etc., are available for Afternoon tea. They are served on a three-tiered tea stand in the traditional British style.
Then complimentary steamed scallop with egg custard, oil sardine with lemon puree, roast chicken potato confit with horseradish cured ham, dried fruit, cream cheese canapé, wine, beer, Japanese Sake, cocktail, champagne, cognac, sparkling, Whiskey, gin, and martini, etc., are available for Hors d’oeuvre.
On top of that, complimentary raspberry chocolate, pistachio cake, macaroon, cheese, wine, Japanese sake, sparkling, etc., are available for Nightcap. It couldn’t be better.

How about toiletries & in-room amenities?
All of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, pajamas, bathrobes, bath salt, a Japanese tea set, a coffee machine with capsules, tea bags, chocolate, and water bottles, etc. There were Asprey bath amenities in our bathroom. Room service is available for 24H. Turn down service is available. Also, Blu-ray & DVD players and a humidifier were placed in our room. Free Wifi reception was good. There are some convenience stores around there.
Is this child-friendly?
This is child-friendly. Staff provides cribs, baby food, pajamas, bathrobes, baby oil, baby shampoo, etc. *One child (ages 11 and under) per adult will be free of charge for co-sleep.
Then the Ritz Kids program is available for free. If your children join it, you need to send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
