If you are looking for auberge hotels in Kobe, you should stay here. This is a representative auberge hotel in Japan. Perhaps if you are looking for boutique hotels, I would highly recommend it. The beautiful antique furniture, interior, and decorations create a lovely ambiance. It’s like pictures from a storybook. The hotel would be great for couples, solo travelers, family, or small groups. If you are going to stay here, I would highly recommend booking a deluxe bath twin room. You can relax in a large bath after a long day out. Facilities tend to be worn-out, but well-maintained and clean. There is no nice view from rooms as the location is in a residential area. Then all of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, bathrobes, pajamas, baked sweets, a Nescafe dolce gusto coffee machine with capsules, tea bags, and a green tea set. There were CLARINS soaps, POLA skincare products, and Thalasso Breragne bath salt, etc., in the bathroom. A baby crib is available if you request in advance. Also, there is a switch for use by classical music BGM in each room. Wifi reception was good in the property but there are only a few outlets in a room. It would be inconvenient when you charge your mobile phone, iPad, and PC, etc. Then room service is not available. There is a convenience store nearby. Then the property is not a universal design, but it would be possible to move around by using wheelchairs. If you bring people with weak feet, you may want to inform the staff in advance as they can arrange a room near the lift. Then food experience was just divine. If you are a gourmet, you should try it. There are two restaurants in-house, one is the French cuisine, and the other is western cuisine. If you stay at Kobe Kitano Hotel, I would highly recommend having breakfast and dinner in the property. It is said that the best breakfast in the world is served at the hotel. Actually, this is not joking. Everything is elaborate including confits, vegetable juice, yogurt, prosciutto, consommé soup, croissants, and tomato & parsley butter, etc. Also, French dinner was fantastic. They have a nice wine list to complement the meal. Then you should try the “Night dessert buffet” at the western restaurant called igrek. Actually not only desserts, but also dishes for dinner are available, such as pasta, coconut curry, salads, soup, appetizers, Spanish omelet, Tandoori chicken, lasagna, and homemade sausages, etc. Also free-flowing drinks, such as beer, wine, coffee, tea, and fresh juice, etc. Then we tried a variety of desserts, such as Mojito macaroon, pina colada macaroon, Swiss roll with fresh fruits, chocolate éclairs, Bavarian cream, pineapple ice cream, and baked crème caramel, etc. *The buffet menu depends on the season. Then if you want to chill out here in a tranquil atmosphere, you may want to avoid staying during Lunar New Year, late April to early May, weekends in June, Oct, Nov, and the end of the year and New Year holiday. The hotel would be very crowded during these periods more than you expect. Then the location is 15min walk from Sannomiya Station. There is a long slope on the way to the property.
