The Prince Karuizawa Hotel

This is my cup of tea.  The Prince Karuizawa Hotel would be one of the best Prince brand hotels in Japan.  There are some Prince brand hotels in Karuizawa, but I would highly recommend this property or The Price Hotel Villa.  Overall, facilities tend to be worn-out, but relaxed, cozy, and well-maintained.  The housekeeping is always excellent.  On top of that, the property has great value for money.  If you are looking for rooms with amazing views, I would highly recommend it.  We were overwhelmed with the beauty of Mt. Asama.  Perhaps, if you fully enjoy Karuizawa, such as shopping, cycling, and walking, etc., I really think you should stay here.  The location would be perfect.  On the other hand, if you are looking for luxury modern hotels in Karuizawa, this is not.  I would rather recommend Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel and Resort.  The Prince Karuizawa Hotel would be great for couples, families, groups, or solo travelers.  There would be many couples and solo travelers staying here on weekdays, and there would be many families with children on weekends.  Also, this is child-friendly.  Staff can provide cots, meals, babysitters, and activities for children, etc., at an additional charge if you request in advance.  If you are going to stay here, I would highly recommend booking an executive room on 3F.  We fully enjoy magnificent natural landscapes every time while chilling out in our room.  If you want to see beautiful views, you should stay on 3F.  Also, it seems that the property has no latest soundproofing system.  If you are a light sleeper, you may want to stay on 3F.  If you stay on 1F or 2F, your ear may catch some noise from upstairs.  Then if you stay in an executive room, you can access the library.  Complimentary wine, beer, coffee, apple juice, herb tea, etc., are available.  Also, you can play golf a half-round for free.  You need to book it in advance.  Then free Wi-Fi reception was good.  You can get a password to connect to the internet at the front desk.  Room service is available.  Then indoor and outdoor communal hot springs on-site are available.  You need to take a free shuttle bus when you visit the communal baths.  It takes just 5min by car, though.  It takes 15min on foot.  All of them are open from 7:00-23:00.  *If you have tattoos, you may not be permitted to use the communal bathing area.  Bicycles are available for free.  The gym is available for free for 24H.  *A minimum age requirement of 16 applies.  Luggage Delivery service is available for free at “Smile Concierge” near Karuizawa Station.  That’s a great service.  Refer to the info.  Then the Prince Karuizawa Hotel is almost universal design.  If you bring people with weak feet, you should inform the staff in advance as they can arrange a room near the lift.  The property is very large.  Some rooms are away from the lifts.  Wheelchairs are available for borrowing.  Then there is a nice French restaurant with awesome views on 1F.  If you are a gourmet, you should try it.  The ambiance would be great for adults.  You need to book a table in advance.  Alternatively, you can go out for meals.  There are many restaurants in Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza.  Then all staff tends to be sophisticated, gracious and welcoming, but I noticed that there was a shortage of staff during the busy season.  I called sometimes but the line won’t go through.  At last, access to the property would be easy.  A free shuttle service is available from Karuizawa Station.  It takes less than 10min by bus.  Also, a free shuttle service is available from the property to Karuizawa Ski Resort.  That’s very convenient.  A one-night stay wouldn’t be enough.  The hotel has good amenities.  Have a nice trip!  Welcome to receive any questions about The Prince Karuizawa Hotel from the below space.  *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.  **Check-in and out times 3:00 PM/11:00 PM.  Check Availability and Pricing for the hotel on Agoda
