Keiryuso Shiorie

To be frank, I don’t want to tell anyone about this small ryokan ; )) Because there are only 8 rooms here and already it’s not easy to book a room. Actually, the ryokan wouldn’t be luxury. The building tends to be a bit outdated. But no doubt this would be one of the best in Japan. You will be able to receive very warm Japanese hospitality during your stay. Then you will be back here again someday. We are always so impressed with “Omotenashi”. All staff is absolutory exceptional. The ryokan would be for everyone including solo travelers. If you are a hot spring lover, I would highly recommend booking a room with a private hot spring. The spring quality including water temperature is just perfect. Also, there are awesome cave hot springs on one site. You must try it at night. We soaked in the bath while viewing the sky which was completely filled with stars in good weather and listening to the murmuring of a stream. That’s exceptional. The cave bath was illuminated. The ambiance absolutory creates mystery. Food experience with many local ingredients is also amazing. The room is very cozy, relaxed, and clean. The ryokan has great value for money. If you want to experience ryokans for the first time without stress, you must stay here. You won’t regret it. Whenever you visit the ryokan, you will be able to chill out here with wonderful hot springs, fresh food, and impeccable hospitality. *JFYI, Kamikochi is supposed to be closed to climbers between the 16th of Nov to 26th of April every year due to heavy snow. If you want to go hiking or mountain climbing, you might want to visit Kamikochi except for this period. But the ryokan opens all year round. If you want to view beautiful snow landscapes while taking a bath in hot springs, you might want to stay here from Dec to March. The ryokan wouldn’t be busy during the period. You will be able to get lazy at a room while getting under the Kotatsu in the winter season. That’s a great experience when you are in Japan. Probably you can understand why once you get under the Kotatsu, you don’t want to get out again! Even to go to the bathroom! *A kotatsu is a low heated table covered in a blanket. You can sit on the floor with your legs under it and it’s nice and warm in winter. If you go to Kamikochi in the season, you must bring snow boots. Have a nice trip! Welcome to receive any questions about the ryokan from the below space.  *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.  Check Availability and Pricing for the hotel on Agoda
