Ryokan Sugimoto

This ryokan is one of my favorite getaways. This would be absolutory a hideaway for adults. I never get bored during my stay. The ryokan is small, with just 18 rooms on site. It wouldn’t be luxury. But the property definitely creates quality time for all guests. I noticed there were many return customers including local people. The ryokan would be for couples, small groups, or solo travelers. I would highly recommend booking a room with Irori which is a Japanese traditional fireplace. That’s charming and quaint. The ryokan has great value for money. All staff is so helpful, prompt, and welcoming. Food experience with many fresh local ingredients is just wonderful. The restaurant and bar have many kinds of local Japanese sakes. Don’t forget to visit the bar on site after dinner. That’s amazing! *Meals served in a dining room only. Then I love the owner’s taste of interior, decorations, furniture, etc. If you want to chill out at a ryokan in nostalgia while listening to jazz music, this would be for you. Those are the precious moments. If you are the first time to visit here, you might want to check in as much as earlier. Check-in is supposed to be from 15:00. The owner of the property provides a demonstration of “making soba” before dinner. Soba is traditional soul food. It is so healthy and highly nutritious food. That’s a great experience! You must join it. Only my issue is that the size of public hot springs would be small. The spring quality including water temperature is wonderful though. Also, there is no view from a room, lobby, hot springs, etc., but the inside of the property is like a toy box instead. You must be excited to explore here. Please note that there are a lot of steps and no elevator on site. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your small kids or elderly people with weak feet. Have a nice trip! *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.  Check Availability and Pricing for the hotel on Agoda
