If you plan to visit Hakuba in Nagano prefecture, I would highly recommend Sierra resort Hakuba. The hotel is absolutory one of the best in Japan. Actuary this wouldn’t be a luxury, not new, not posh. However, the hotel is extremely cozy, relaxed, and comfortable everywhere. It’s really worth it. Once we entered the building, our heartfelt at ease. We didn’t feel like going out until check-out. Because there was full of hospitality in the hotel. The lounge is also a fabulous place to chill out while having some healthy Japanese-style snakes, such as miso soup, rice dumplings, ice candies, curry rice, boiled eggs, fresh vegetable sticks, etc., You must be a fan to try local food. There are many complimentary food and beverages provided at the lobby, entrance, lounge, etc. Also, the hotel has an amazing large garden to explore. Don’t forget to take a walk here. Many beautiful plants and flowers in rich nature would be waiting for you. Then a room is spacious, functional, and clean. You might want to book a Jr Suite room if you are going to stay here. All staff is so helpful, gracious, and welcoming. Then French food for dinner is good. We stayed here for 3 nights. But we had never got bored of it. Then it seems that the restaurant sometimes provides Japanese food for dinner. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Only Japanese cuisine wouldn’t be nice. Also, the hotel has unique hot springs on site. The spring quality is wonderful. The best season to stay here would be between May to Oct unless you enjoy winter spots here. Hakuba is one of the incredible locations in Japan if you love going on a hike during the period. Speaking of Hakuba, it’s well-known as a skiing resort in the winter season though. If you have a chance to stay here, I would also highly recommend visiting here in a different season. At last, as you may expect, the hotel would be very busy all year round, especially weekends, Japan’s public holidays, Lunar New Year, between late April to early May, 3rd week of July to the end of Aug, and the end of the year and new year holiday. You might want to avoid these periods if you want to relax at the hotel in a tranquil ambiance. When we stayed in Aug, there were so many children on-site. Also, we needed to wait for a long time to check-in & out. If you want to stay at luxury hotels in Hakuba, I would rather recommend Hotel de la Neige Higashi-kan.
