What kind of hotel is Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island, Okinawa?
If you are looking for luxury stylish resort hotels in Okinawa, I would recommend it. The property opened in 2018. The ambiance, interior, decorations, and furniture, etc., would be sophisticated. Perhaps, if you are looking for family-friendly hotels, you should stay here. There are a variety of amenities, activities, and facilities for children. This is one of the best child-friendly hotels in Japan. One child (ages 11 and under) per adult will be free of charge for co-sleep. Perhaps, if you want to enjoy water sports in Okinawa, you should stay here. The concierges are excellent. They perfectly arrange outdoor activities, restaurants, and transportation, etc., for guests. You may want to ask them about recommended spots, etc., after checking in if this is your first visit to Okinawa. Once I arrived at the hotel, completely I forgot daily life. The ambiance is cozy, lively, and pleasant. The hotel would be great for a family with children, groups, couples, but not solo travelers. I noticed that there were many families with small children, especially the weekend.

Is the location easy to access?
No, it wouldn’t be easy from Naha Airport. You can take an airport limousine bus. It takes around 90min. The bus fare is JPY1,700 for an adult and JPY850 for a child. Refer to the timetable. Alternatively, you can get a rental car at the airport. It takes around 60min. The parking lot is available at JPY1,000. Also, valet parking is available at JPY1,500. The parking lot is a bit away from the property, so staff can send you by Tuk-Tuk. Children must be excited.
Rooms I would recommend?
If you are going to stay here, I would recommend rooms with Lagoon views. You can chill out on the balcony while seeing a beautiful ocean and a blue sky in good weather. On the other hand, I wouldn’t recommend rooms with Seragaki Port and Mt. Onna views. The views wouldn’t be nice. Also, I wouldn’t recommend rooms with club lounge access. Because the food presentation was not special if compared to other 5-star hotels in Okinawa. Also, unluckily there wouldn’t be nice views from the club lounge.
How about toiletries & in-room amenities?
All of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, yukatas, bathrobes, English tea bags, coffee bags, bottled water, and a Japanese tea set. There were PHARMACOPIA amenities in our bathroom. Also, you can request skincare products for free if you need them. DVD players, air cleaners, and chargers for cell phones, etc., are available for borrowing. Room service is available from 7:00-22:00. The free Wifi reception was excellent. There is no convenience store within 5min walking, but there is a small shop where you can buy some food and drinks on 1F. Turn-down service was not available when we stayed in 2018. Also, this is child-friendly. Strollers, cribs, and bed guards are available for borrowing if you request in advance. Baby-sitting service is available at an additional charge. Complimentary amenities for children, such as toothbrushes, slippers, and pajamas, etc., are available.

How about In-house Facilities?
The facilities tend to be the latest. There are wonderful indoor and outdoor swimming pools and 2 private small private beaches. The outdoor ones are open between late March and early Nov. The indoor one is open all year round. Also, there is a nice fitness gym. It’s open for 24H. *A minimum age requirement of 12 applies. Swimwear, swim goggles, swim caps, swim rings, sportswear, running shoes, and yoga mats, etc., are available for borrowing, but availability and sizes may be limited. You may want to bring your own. *If you have tattoos and want to use outdoor & indoor swimming pools and private beaches, you may need to wear a “Rash Guard”. Then Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island Okinawa is a universal design. There is room for wheelchair users. Wheelchairs are available for borrowing. If you bring people with weak feet, you may want to inform the staff in advance as they can arrange a room near the lift. There are four laundromats on 4F, 6F, 8F, and 10F.

How about meals?
The buffet-style western and Japanese cuisine was wonderful. The buffet was not so quite extensive, but each dish tends to be of a high standard. Breakfast time is from 7:00-10:00. There are Italian, local food, Sushi, and Teppanyaki restaurants in-house. Also, there are some local restaurants, but if you are a gourmet, you may want to have meals on the property. After dinner, don’t forget to visit the bar. The live music is held every night. The ambiance was great.

My impressions
All staff is gracious, welcoming, and attentive. They are the loveliest group. If relaxation with ocean views is your main purpose, the resort hotel would be perfect. At last, the property is very popular. If you want to chill out here in a tranquil atmosphere, you may want to avoid staying during Lunar New Year, late April to early May, the third week of July to late Aug, and the end of the year and New Year holiday.
