The property is a small luxury resort in Ise-Shima national park. Also, this is one of the luxury Ise-Shima national park spa hotels. There are 8 rooms only. It would be hard to book a room all year round.
Overall, the resort is sophisticated. The paintings and furnishings on display are truly amazing. The rooms are tastefully furnished and decorated, making it the perfect place to spend a luxurious holiday. Also, the service is as impeccable as a 5-star hotel.
Then this is one of the famous gourmet resort hotels. If you are a foodie, you must be happy.
On the other hand, if you’re expecting a dynamic view of Ise-Shima, this is not. You should rather stay at Shima Kanko Hotel Bay Suite. Because all rooms have a more open feel and large windows where you can fully enjoy the sea and islands of Ise-Shima.

Is the location easy to access?
Yes, it would be easy. It takes 120min by express train from Kintetsu Nagoya Station to Kashikojima Station. *Not from JR Nagoya Station. Please do not make a mistake. Then free shuttle service is available from Kashikojima Station between 14:00 and 17:00. You need to book it in advance.

Then if you plan to visit Ise Grand Shrine from Kashikojima Station, a shuttle service is available at JPY1,000 per adult, JPY500 per child. Also, if you plan to visit Ise Grand Shrine and Toba after check-out, a luggage delivery service is available at an additional charge.
Where is the best accommodation for anniversaries?
If you are looking for a romantic place for a special occasion, the property would be one of the best in Mie. The staff arranges flowers and cakes to celebrate an anniversary at additional charges if you request in advance. This is like a hideaway for adults. The resort completely emphasizes private experiences for each guest. We never met other guests during our stay.

Rooms I would recommend?
If you are going to stay here, I would recommend a room with a private onsen. You can fully enjoy a peaceful view while soaking in the private onsen. That’s precious time.
How about toiletries & in-room amenities?
All of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, pajamas, room wear, bathrobes, a complimentary minibar including beer, a coffee machine, and tea bag, etc. There are Omnisens bath amenities and MIKIMOTO skincare products in the bathroom. Room service is available. Free wifi is good. There is no convenience store around here. You may want to buy your necessities before coming here.
How about In-house Facilities?
There is a private family hot spring and you can use it for free, but you need to book it in advance when you check in. The spring quality wouldn’t be special. There is no communal onsen.
The spa shop is available. It is open between 9:00 and 19:00. This is very popular among spa lovers, so you should make an appointment as soon as possible if you want to receive it.

Then this is almost universal design. If you take someone with weak legs, you should inform the staff in advance as they arrange a room near the reception. Wheelchairs are available for borrowing. Then you should book a room with a private onsen as you wouldn’t need to move around once you enter your room.

Overall the resort is very private, so you won’t see any other guests. Also, there is no lounge or bar where you can relax while drinking, which I felt like I was missing something. On top of that, it’s a little disappointing that there is no garden where we can walk around while viewing the beautiful islands and the sea.
How about meals?
The French cuisine is top-notch. Each dish is impressive. They are very delicately flavored, but the portions are small. It is the most luxurious experience to be able to enjoy the finest French cuisine while looking at the beautiful scenery of Ise-Shima. I think this is the best place in Mie Prefecture for French cuisine. All meals are served in a private room.
If you love Japanese spiny lobster, you should stay here between Oct and mid-April. If you love abalone, you should visit between mid-April and Sep.
*Please note that inform the staff when you book a room with meals if you have any food allergies. They probably wouldn’t be able to prepare alternative food if you request it on that day.
Then, as far as I know, there is no restaurant near the property. Most of the local papa-mama shops are closing early. You may want to book a room with meals unless you drive a car yourself.

My impressions
Frankly speaking, I felt that the price range was a bit high. I think that Shima Kanko Hotel Bay Suite would be better in terms of facilities, room size, and views. There is no room with private onsen, though. Therefore, if you want to stay in a luxury room with a private one, THE HIRAMATSU HOTELS & RESORTS KASHIKOJIMA would be great for you.
