Teisho Basaratei

If you are looking for modern luxury ryokans like a secret hideaway for adults in Mie, I would highly recommend it.  Perhaps, if you are looking for rooms with private hot springs, you should stay here.   Each room has an outdoor private one.  Everything, such as interior, furniture, decoration and architecture is truly sophisticated.  The ambiance is serene, tranquil, and cozy.  We hardly met other guests during our stay.  The ryokan would be great for couples, family, small groups, or solo travelers.  *A minimum age requirement of 12 applies.  If you are going to stay here, I would highly recommend booking a room in the annex building.  The room is spacious, functional, and stylish.  You can chill out at your private bath with a beer in hand while seeing a beautiful view of Ago Bay.  That’s the precious time.  On the other hand, I wouldn’t recommend rooms in the main building as they don’t have enough soundproofing system.  Your ear may catch some noise from next-door neighbors.  Then all of the amenities are taken care of including enough toiletries, yukatas, pajamas, samue outfits, bathrobes, a coffee machine with capsules, and a Japanese tea set.  There were NAOBAY amenities in the bathroom.  Also an iPhone, an iPad, a DVD player, a Blu-Ray player, and an air cleaner were placed in our room.  Wifi reception was good in-house.  Room service is available from 15:00-21:00.  Complimentary wine, Japanese sake, coffee, tea, orange juice, snakes, and finger food, etc., are available at the lounge.  I noticed that there was a PC for use someone.  The stylish lounge is open from 7:30-10:30, 15:30-22:30.  Then there is no convenience store nearby.  You may want to buy your necessities before coming here.  Then the property is universal design.  Also there is a room for wheelchair users in the main building.  If you bring people with weak feet, you may want to inform staff in advance as they can arrange the room.  A wheelchair is available for borrowing.  Then there are wonderful 3 private family hot springs in house.  You can complimentary use them, and you need to book in advance with an iPad in your room.  They are open from 6:00-9:00, 15:00-24:00.  If you want to try all of them, I would recommend checking in earlier for better time selections.  First come first-served basis.  *There is no communal hot spring in house.  Then sea food kaiseki for dinner was simply wonderful.  The local ingredients were high-end including abalones, crabs, and lobsters etc.  If you are a gourmet, you must be excited.  The portion tends to be big.  Don’t forget to bring your empty stomach.  After dinner, some sushi rolls, oranges, and boiled eggs for a night snack were served in our room.  Then you can choose either western or Japanese cuisine for breakfast.  All meals are served in a private room.  *Please note that inform staff when you book a room with meals if you have any food allergies.  They probably wouldn’t be able to prepare it if you request on that day.  Then as far as I know, there is no restaurant around here.  You may want to book a room including meals.  Then staff tends to be not so sophisticated, but friendly.  Overall, the hardware would be almost perfect, but the software wouldn’t be the same class.  This is Mie prefecture.  I guess it’s OK.  At last, if you are a metropolitan, don’t visit here in the summer season as there would be many bugs around outdoor baths.  It cannot be helped as the property is surrounded by rich nature.  An access to the property would be easy.  Free shuttle service from Kashikojima Station is available.  When you reach the station, call at 0599-46-1189.  It takes just 3min drive away.  Have a nice trip!  Welcome to receive any questions about the property from the below space.  *All information is as of the date that I posted on my blog.  **Check in and out times 15:00/11:00  Check Availability and Pricing for the hotel on Agoda
